The Boys Season 3 might be even more brutal than before
Prime Video’s The Boys is based on a comic book series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson of the same name. The show features a world where superheroes are self-serving and it’s up to vigilantes to keep these supposed heroes from getting out of line. After premiering back in 2019, The Boys has quickly become one of the most-watched shows all over the world, with a third season now on its way. So far, Prime Video has done a great job at teasing all that’s coming in Season 3 with several episodes of the in-universe’s meta digital video series, Seven on 7 with Cameron Coleman. But, during the final installment of the said series, Prime Video confirmed when The Boys Season 3 will premiere. The Boys’ third season will officially premiere on June 3, 2022, with the first episode going under the title, Payback. In addition to confirming the launch of The Boys Season 3, Prime Video announced that the next season will debut with three episodes. Meanwhile, a new episode will release on each succeeding Friday, which will all culminate in an epic season finale on July 8. As for the video itself, it’s clear that the patience of Antony Starr’s The Homelander is running a bit thin as he struggles to contain his sadistic side while also keeping up appearances. Prime Video confirmed back in September last year that The Boys Season 3 had already finished filming. Since then, fans have been desperately waiting for Prime Video to confirm when it will be coming. Now that has happened, audiences finally know when their wait is going to end. Until then, all fans can do is to watch re-runs of the first two seasons of The Boys and debate with other people online if Homelander can beat Superman in a fight.
