Is the first Battlefield 2042 beta test confirmed?
According to reliable industry insider Tom Henderson and GamesBeat journalist Jeff Grubb, their respective sources are telling them that the first Battlefield 2042 beta test is going to happen on September 22. Grubb, in particular, confirmed that he first heard of the date from Tom Henderson before corroborating Henderson’s claims by saying that his own sources are saying the same thing. Adding further weight to the date is that it is in line with EA’s previous statement that Battlefield 2042 will hold its first open beta sometime in September. So all in all, a September 22 schedule for the first Battlefield 2042 playtest makes plenty of sense. At the moment, Sledgehammer Games’ very own premier shooter, Call of Duty: Vanguard, is busy holding its own set of playtests. The last one ends on September 20, giving EA an opportunity to take advantage and sell them on their own AAA shooter, Battlefield 2042. Just remember that because EA has not given a specific date yet, we can’t exactly say for sure when the first Battlefield 2042 beta test will happen. One thing that we are sure of though, is that Battlefield 2042 will release on October 22 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and the PC. However, if you’d like to have a chance to play the game before anyone else, you can shell out for the Gold or Ultimate Editions to receive early access to Battlefield 2042 on October 15. EA Play Pro subscribers will also enjoy the same benefit.
