According to a credible source that correctly predicted Mario Kart 8 DLC as well as the big names included in the latest Nintendo event like Persona 5, among others, Bayonetta 3 will come out on October 28.
— Syluxhunter (@Syluxhunter) June 25, 2022 As fans have cleverly pointed out, Bayonetta 3 is the only Nintendo game scheduled for this year that doesn’t have a release date. But, since October is only a few months away, we’re bound to find out soon enough. Besides, Bayonetta 3 was never going to be at the Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase. After all, the exhibition was specifically for third-party companies. Save for Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, which is published by both Nintendo and Ubisoft, every notable game that was announced at the demonstration was not published by Nintendo. Even if SEGA is the owner of Bayonetta and PlatinumGames isn’t a first-party Nintendo studio, the games are still technically a first-party Nintendo series. So, if we’re going to hear more about Bayonetta 3, it will be at an event for Nintendo Switch exclusives. The good news here is that Nintendo could hold a Nintendo Direct Mini for upcoming first-party titles by next month to reveal everything from Bayonetta 3’s release date and the unannounced Metroid Prime remaster, among others. TLDR; we might not have heard about Bayonetta 3 for a while, but the wait shouldn’t be too long.
