In his words, “We’re already quite busy, putting everything together. As you know with these films, there are so many elements, between the cast and the script and the effects and the stunts. It’s really exciting to be really diving deep into it.” Unfortunately, Marvel Studios hasn’t revealed the movie’s plot despite fan interest. However, if the title is anything to go by, fans may already have some clues. In the comic, Incredible Hulk No. 403, which was released in March 1993, the character Red Skull created the New World Order with the goal of taking over the world. Alongside Red Skull, the organization included Juggernaut and Absorbing Man, neither of whom have made their debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Because of this, we might see Marvel explore the story in a different way than the comics. Captain America: New World Order is the fourth installment in Marvel’s Captain America series. Marvel confirmed the movie’s title at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. It is part of Marvel’s Phase 5, which will kick off in February 2023 with the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The movie will star Anthony Mackie as the titular character in a feature-length movie for the first time, following his role in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which follows Mackie’s character, Sam Wilson, as he comes to terms with his new role as Captain America after Steve Rogers’ story ended in Avengers: Endgame. Apart from Mackie, the movie will see Danny Ramirez reprise his role as Joaquin Torres, the new Falcon, and Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley. Newcomer Shira Haas will join the cast as the Israeli superhero, Sabra. Also, Tim Nelson Blake, who played Samuel Sterns (The Leader) in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk, will reprise his role and serve as the film’s villain. New World Order is currently in pre-production. If all goes to plan, Marvel will release the movie on May 3, 2024.
