When is Crusader Kings 3 releasing on consoles?
According to a listing on the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee (shoutout to Gematsu), the console version of Crusader Kings 3 has been rated for the Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and Xbox One. Although the listing does not contain a release date, being rated does suggest that the game is going to launch soon. Crusader Kings 3 is a PC-exclusive strategy title that puts players in charge of overseeing a dynasty that will last hundreds if not thousands of years. The most important part here is that this will mark the first time that Paradox will port a Crusader Kings game to a non-PC platform. Naturally, fans are wondering if Paradox has made enough adjustments to make the game work on a gamepad. However, judging by how well Paradox’s other strategy games are working on consoles, it’s safe to say that the developers more than deserve the benefit of the doubt. What is also interesting is the addition of the Xbox One to the listing but not the PlayStation 4. Even though the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee is a legitimate government body, we still recommend taking everything we said with a grain of salt. Until Paradox comes out with an official announcement, we should assume that the console port of Crusader Kings 3 is not confirmed. With that said, this wouldn’t mark the first time that a game was leaked on rating boards first before their eventual release. Games like the PS4 backport of Godfall and Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut were both leaked before their official announcement. Right now, audiences are still waiting for Konami to announce Castlevania Advance Collection, which was spotted being rated in Australia and later, in Korea.
