Fall Guys was released last August 4, 2020, but only to limited platforms, being PC and the PlayStation 4. During this time, Mediatonic has released several updates of the game which included seasons and in-game events that share characteristics with other games’ “battle passes”. As of today, Fall Guys has been updated to version 3.5 which has spiced up the game by adding 40 variations of existing levels and a whole new level as well as introducing the digital ticker, Fall Feed. New costumes were also added in the in-game store which included Godzilla, Sonic, and the Goose Game. There are no details as yet about cross-platform gameplay or what particular version of the game will arrive on the Switch. Regarding cross-platform, this is not an expected feature since the PlayStation 4 and the PC versions have no cross-play. There is also no shared profile between the versions of the game wherein your progress and purchases on the PlayStation 4 and PC are the same. Since there is no, “Fall Guys account” it is also not expected that the Switch version will have a shared profile with the console and PC versions. However, this is not a limitation of the Switch platform. The Witcher 3 has a cross-save function between the Switch version and the PC version. It would be up to Mediatonic to include such a feature if they want to. This Fall Guys Switch port is somewhat expected since Mediatonic held a survey that includes a question of a possible version of the game to the Switch. Fall Guys is also being ported to mobile but only limited to the Chinese market.
