With only a few weeks to go before God of War: Ragnarok becomes available on November 9, someone has spent the past few days leaking sensitive information about what’s going to happen to Kratos and Atreus in their next adventure. The said source appears to be part of the handful who’ve gotten early copies of the game, possibly for a potential review ahead of next week’s embargo lift. Regardless of who the leaks are coming from, it’s best for anyone who doesn’t want to get the story of Ragnarok spoiled to stay off the internet for a while. Curiously enough, this is the ’nth time that a game has leaked early ahead this month alone. Gotham Knights and A Plague Tale: Requiem were both shipped earlier to customers by mistake and this led to significant spoilers finding their way online. Fingers crossed, God of War: Ragnarok won’t suffer from the same fate. But, if it does, we don’t think that Sony won’t mind early spoilers, especially since no one has said bad things about the God of War sequel so far. All the early previews are singing GOTY contender praises and we’re expecting the same tune once the embargo lifts next week. God of War: Ragnarok is widely considered the frontrunner for this year’s GOTY award and the only title that can hold a candle to Elden Ring. FromSoftware’s open-world fantasy RPG already has a leg up over its closest competition after receiving an award in Japan. As for God of War: Ragnarok, fans can keep themselves busy at the moment by searching the internet for the elusive custom-designed DualSense controller.
