The Scope Out
Diamond Casino Heist is not hailed as the most intricate heist of GTA Online for nothing. Before you even scope out the casino, you’ll have to complete a few prerequisites.
Step One: Buy an Arcade
To start the Diamond Casino Heist, find Lester in Mirror Park, East Vinewood neighbourhood. Once you talk to him, he’ll inform you that you need to buy an arcade property to get the ball rolling. The arcade serves as a base of operation during the heist, but even after that, you can operate the arcade as a business and make a fair dime. Here are all your options for an arcade property.
Pixel Pete’s – Located in Paleto Bay. Costs $1,235,000. Wonderama – Located in Grapeseed. Costs $1,565,000. Videogeddon – Located in La Mesa. Costs $1,875,000. Insert Coin – Located in Rockford Hills. Costs $2,345,000. Warehouse – Located in Davis. Costs $2,135,000. Eight-Bit – Located in Vinewood. Costs $2,530,000.
It’s worth noting that if you’re a Twitch Prime subscriber, then you can get Pixel Pete’s property from Maze Bank Foreclosures for free. Also, the property you choose will not affect the heist’s success, but the more expensive properties will rake more bills in the long term. It’s all about return on investment.
Step Two: Upgrade the Arcade
Once you’ve bought the arcade property, the first mission, called the “Arcade Equipment” tasks you with tracking down a lot of basic kits and steal it for your arcade. You’ll need to make your way to the Post Op Depository, locate the truck, and then take out the driver before stealing the equipment. When you return to your property, a cutscene will play where Lester will break down the plan in three parts: scope, prepping, score. Here, you can choose your heist strategy as well. While that’s all you need to do with the arcade property, you can buy all sorts of upgrades and retro games if you want to own the business in the long term. There are two upgrades that you can purchase for the arcade:
Master Control Terminal – $1,740,000: Allows you to launch missions for all of your businesses from the arcade itself. Drone Station – $1,460,000: Allows you to fly a drone all over the city.
Here are all the arcade games that you can buy:
Monkey’s Paradise – $90,000 Penetrator – $101,500 Defender of Faith – $152,500 Invade and Persuade 2 – $245,000 The Love Professor – $261,000 Shiny Wasabi Kitty Claw – $295,000 Madam Nazar – $315,000 Space Monkey 3: Bananas Gone Bad – $360,000 Badlands Revenge 2 – $362,500 Race and Chase: Get Truckin’ – $369,500 Race and Chase: Crotch Rockets – $385,000 Race and Chase: Street Legal – $410,000 The Wizard’s Ruin – $420,000
Step Three: Scope the Diamond Casino
Coming back to the actual heist, the next step is all about scouting and scoping the crime scene. Here, you’re looking for points of entry as well as other points of interest. Doing so will unlock more options when it comes to choosing an approach.
Main Points of Entry:
The main door – Front of the building. The side doors – There are security doors on each side of the building; one on the left side and one in the back. The roof terrace – There are four doors you need to spot here: one next to the pool, one behind the bar, and two at the end of the path that begins on the ledge below the left side of the pool. The security tunnel – Underneath the racetrack at the rear of the casino is a tunnel. The roof – There are two security doors on either side of the helipad. The sewer – There’s a storm drain across the street from the casino. Hop in and snap a pic of the grate inside.
Main Points of Interest:
Security Guard – Can be found standing next to the elevator by the front desk Keypad – Located on the casino floor, next to restricted access doors 1st Security Camera – Found on the ceiling of the main casino rooms 2nd Security Camera – Found on the roof and roof terrace Valet – Can be located standing on the front door of the casino Vault Blueprints – The blueprints are lying on the desk in the management office. However, you’ll need a VIP membership to the Diamond Casino to access the management office.
Once you clock a picture of all the entry points as well as points of interest, send them Lester and head back to your arcade.
Choosing an Approach
Finally, we’re at the most exciting part of the heist, choosing the approach. The Diamond Casino Heist offers you three distinct options. We’ve listed all of them out along with the objectives that come with the said approach. However, we’ve refrained from letting our reins lose on what happens to keep things spoiler-free around here.
Option One: The Aggressive Approach
If you’re a gunslinger that would go in the front door, then the Aggressive approach is for you! Objectives:
Get unmarked weapons Find getaway cars Get a hacking device Snag some security key cards Snag some vault key cards Get explosive charges
Option Two: The Silent and Sneaky Approach
If you’d rather tread slow and silently and be gone before anyone notices the empty vault, then Silent and Sneaky is your way to go. Objectives:
Get unmarked weapons Find your getaway cars Get a hacking device Snag some vault key cards Find a nano drone Get a laser to break into the vault
Option Three: The “Big Con” Approach
The Big Con approach is the most ambitious heist approach out of any heists in GTA history. Instead of mindless gun blazing or sneaking around, it converts the Diamond Casino heist into a full-blown heist movie production akin to Ocean’s Eleven! This also happens to be our recommended approach to the Diamond Casino heist. Objectives:
Get unmarked weapons Find your getaway cars Get a hacking device Snag some vault key cards Find a disguise Get some vault drills
Now, it’s time to gear up for the heist and loot the Diamond Casino!
Diamond Casino Heist Payout
So, what was all that trouble worth? The Diamond Casino Heist payout is $2,115,000 in cash itself. But cash is the least valuable item in Diamond Casino’s vault! There’s artwork, gold and diamond that are together worth $8 million. Add in the cash and you’ve got over $10 million on your hands! However, in reality, there isn’t enough time to pick it all up. And whatever you do pick up, won’t go in your straight in your pocket. Lester as well as the support crew will take their cut. Any damage you take during the heist will also reduce your reward. On average, players have reported receiving around $4,000,000 to $4,000,000 as the payout from Diamond Casino Heist.
