Unbeknownst to many fans, Jonah Hill has been dabbling in writing screenplays and directing movies. The 21 Jump Street star recently debuted as a documentary film director. Hill first debuted as a film director in 2018 with the movie Mid90s. It was about a 13-year-old boy who spent time with a group of older skateboarders in 1990s Los Angeles. Mid90s was inspired by his own childhood growing up in the mid-1990s. The new project, Outcome, will reportedly star Keanu Reeves as its protagonist. Ezra Wood will co-write the movie alongside Hill with his production company, Strong Baby, involved as the producer. Outcome’s plot remains unclear but it’s expected to generate interest due to Reeves’ and Hill’s involvement. Reports suggest that multiple studios and streaming companies are interested in bidding for the project, albeit Hill and Reeves have yet to publicly acknowledge the film. Jonah Hill’s most recent directorial project, Stutz, debuted on Netflix. The documentary film is about the life of Dr. Phil Stutz, Hill’s therapist. The movie gives audiences a glimpse of Hill and his struggle with depression. Hill recently announced that he will not be doing promotional work on the movie, and is taking a break due to mental health concerns. The actor has suffered bouts of anxiety attacks which were “exacerbated by media appearances and public-facing events”. Keanu Reeves has been busy with various projects. The actor recently reprised his iconic roles as Theodore ‘Ted’ Logan in Bill & Ted and Thomas “Neo” Anderson in The Matrix Resurrections. Reeves also starred in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and added a voice acting credit as Bruce Wayne in DC League of Super-Pets. Reeves also recently finished filming the next installment of the John Wick franchise ahead of its opening in theaters in March. He is currently in Prague for the filming of the John Wick spin-off film Ballerina, which will star Ana de Armas as a young assassin. The extent of Reeve’s role in the movie is still unclear. The John Wick series will reportedly conclude with John Wick: Chapter 5. There are however several spin-off titles that are rumored to be in the pipeline. Lionsgate is also interested in making an AAA game based on the character.
