On the other hand, what Microsoft taketh, it also giveth. We’re barely a quarter of a way through July and the Xbox Game Pass already has several new games, with more coming in the next couple of days and weeks. Scroll down below to learn more about the new Xbox Game Pass games this July.
What are the new Xbox Game Pass games this July?
Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass has long been considered as the Netflix equivalent to gaming. Microsoft’s latest reveal concerning a smart TV app and streaming stick only serves to reinforce that. However, it will be a while before we see either of those to release. For now, we’ll have to settle with some new titles to play and entertain us. The new Xbox Game Pass games this July aren’t necessarily big AAA titles, but they’re not bad either. Headlining the list of new games that Microsoft has added, and will add, to the Xbox Game Pass library this July is The Medium. Bloober Team’s latest project was a timed exclusive for the Xbox Series S/X that was released earlier this year. The psychological horror game is the perfect showcase of the added power of the newly-upgraded Xbox Series X servers of the Xbox Game Pass. Here is a list of everything that is coming to the Xbox Game Pass soon, when, and to which platforms:
Dragon Quest Builders 2 - Cloud (July 8) Tropico 6 - Cloud, Console, and PC (July 8) EA UFC 4 - Console (July 8) Bloodroots - Cloud, Console, and PC (July 15) Farming Simulator 19 - Cloud, Console, and PC (July 15) The Medium - Cloud (July 15)
On top of the new games that we just mentioned, the Xbox Game Pass is also going to see a lot of games get added to its library at launch. Chief among them is Microsoft Flight Simulator for the Xbox Series S/X, which arrives on July 27. Other upcoming games that are headed to the Xbox Game Pass this July include The Ascent (July 29) and the next-gen remaster of A Plague Tale: Innocence (July 6). So while it indeed unfortunate that these games are leaving Xbox Game Pass soon, more are coming to replace them. Now, in case you’ve made it this far and still don’t know what Xbox Game Pass is, it is Microsoft’s video game subscription service. It costs $9.99 a month, with a $14.99 a month “Ultimate” upgrade that grants you access to Xbox Live Gold, as well as the EA Play library, and Xbox Cloud Gaming, which allows you to stream games directly on iOS devices and the PC, among others.
