For example, recent theater listings suggest that Morbius will have one of the shortest superhero movie runtimes in a while.
We’ve already known that Morbius’ runtime was going to be shorter than most comic book films at 1 hour and 48 minutes. As it turns out, fans can shave a couple of minutes more from Morbius, as a handful of theaters list Morbius at 105 minutes, putting its runtime closer to Venom: Let There Be Carnage at 97 minutes. Even if it’s not unusual for movies to trim a couple of minutes off before being released, it is odd that this is happening just weeks before April 1. This might suggest that the creatives over at the SSU have changed their minds since December, which could potentially bring bad news for those expecting to see a lot of cameos in Morbius. At the end of the day, fans won’t have to wait too long to find out more about Morbius’ live-action debut.
— Amit Chaudhari (@5150Aamrit) March 10, 2022 Morbius stars Jared Leto as the titular living vampire, whose real name is Michael Morbius, a scientist who tries to cure his rare blood disorder by inflicting himself with vampirism. While he was successful in his attempt and gained superhuman abilities as a result, Morbius also finds himself thirsty for human blood. In addition to Leto, Morbius will star Matt Smith, Jared Harris, Adria Arjona, Al Madrigal, and Tyrese Gibson. In other news, while Sony is taking a few minutes off of Morbius, Marvel Studios is tacking on more content to Thor: Love and Thunder. Recent reports claim that Taika Waititi is bringing back the cast and crew of Thor 4 to do reshoots with only a few months to go before the film hits theaters in July.
