PlatinumGames’ latest Switch outing will introduce Viola, a witch in training and one of the playable characters for Bayonetta 3 (at least, in certain portions). Befitting her stature, Viola isn’t as capable as the titular heroine. Her moveset is made up of mostly swords and throwing knives, as well as the ability to summon Cheshire. This massive feline demon can clear enemy groups with ease, so Viola isn’t all that useless. Moving on, PlatinumGames also did a great job showcasing Bayonetta 3 such as “Demon Masquerade”, side missions, as well as a new in-game currency, Embryos. Bayonetta 3 comes nearly a decade after Bayonetta 2 and will continue the story of the fan-favorite Umbra Witch. However, rumors suggest that the story will introduce a different Bayonetta from the one we’re used to seeing. We’ll find out more about the story of Bayonetta 3 once it comes out later this month. Speaking of PlatinumGames, Bayonetta 3 is getting a new modesty mode for younger audiences. Also, PlatinumGames just confirmed that it’s hoping to improve its relationship with Nintendo. If we are lucky, this will mean that future Bayonetta games won’t take as long to make.
