With the re-release scheduled in just a few weeks, Nintendo has dropped a brand-new The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD trailer. A Hero Rises offers audiences another look at what is canonically one of Link’s earliest adventures. It’s a great way to reel in new players while also letting older fans know what to expect once they get a chance to play Skyward Sword HD.
When is The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD release date?
The latest The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD drops audiences right into the thick of things. It opens up with the incident that led to the events of Skyward Sword, with Link sent out to look for a lost Zelda in the world located below Skyloft. As always, Link finds himself aided by the ever-trusty Master Sword. But, that’s not all. The trailer also shows off some of the gameplay details for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. Link can be seen squaring off against some of the most iconic enemies in the series, including the villains you’ll meet in the game. All in all, Nintendo isn’t just after quick profit with The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD - it’s not just a mere remaster of the 2011 game for the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo even went as far as to add numerous quality of life updates to the game. This includes some changes that fans have requested for years, such as how Fi seems to have a penchant for interrupting players in the middle of the game just to give some “advice”. Other changes that were added to The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD include the option to skip cutscenes and fast-forward dialogue exchanges, as well as auto-saves. Players can now change the game’s control scheme according to their liking as well. Instead of the default motion controls, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD comes with a new control scheme that’s more convenient. The last bit is extremely important. For all the praise that the original Skyward Sword received back in 2011, it didn’t get as much credit as it deserved because of its divisive control scheme. It will be interesting to see if these changes are enough to vault The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD a few spots up our rankings. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is expected to arrive on the Nintendo Switch on July 16.
