To say that Codemasters makes great racing games is only fitting, and now, you can get your hands on all of them for free, if you have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
Microsoft continues to beef up its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription
The new Codemasters racing games that just became available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate via EA Play are:
F1 2020 F1 2019 Dirt 5 Dirt 4 Dirt Rally Dirt Rally 2.0 Grid
All you need to do in order to gain access to these racing games is to have an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. However, the games are also available if you have an EA Play or EA Play Pro subscription too. In total, the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has 89 Electronic Arts games in its library that are available through Microsoft’s partnership with Electronic Arts. This laundry list of AAA titles includes Madden NFL 21, FIFA 21, NHL 21, as well as the original Dead Space trilogy, which we recommend playing if you want to get yourself up to speed with the series’ upcoming remake. In case you missed it, Electronic Arts now owns Codemasters. The acquisition was completed earlier this year for $1.2 billion in a move that CEO Andrew Wilson describes as a start of an “exciting new era for racing games.” EA is also the owner of the Need for Speed IP, as well as the studios that have worked on the venerated racing game franchise. A new Need for Speed game was planned to release in 2021. However, EA decided against this and opted to have the game’s developer, Criterion Games, help DICE out with the development of Battlefield 2042 instead.
