Aloy’s Talents
Aloy can be a sub-DPS and support on your team because her skills and passive can increase the attack of nearby party members. Her elemental skills can work well with Pyro characters, generating a Melt Reaction which has increased damage to enemies.
Rapid Fire
Rapid Fire is Aloy’s normal, charged, and plunging attack. If you charge her normal attack long enough, a Cryo element will infuse with her bow, applying Cryo element against enemies hit by the arrow.
Frozen Wilds
Frozen Wild is Aloy’s elemental skill. She throws a bomb made of Cryo on surrounding enemies. It explodes upon contact, splitting into multiple Chillwater Bomblets. When the bombs come in contact with enemies, it decreases their attack and Aloy will gain 1 stack of Coil. Each stack of Coil will increase the damage of Aloy’s normal attack. Once she gets 4 stacks of Coil, she will enter the Rushing Ice State. This state will increase the damage of her normal attacks and change her normal attack damage into Cryo damage.
Prophecies of Dawn
Prophecies of Dawn is Aloy’s elemental burst. Activating this will cause Aloy to throw a Power Cell into enemies. This Power Cell is filled with Cryo and Aloy detonates it using her bow, causing Cryo damage to nearby enemies.
Combat Override
You can unlock this passive on Ascension Phase 1. Whenever Aloy gets a Coil, it increases her attack by 16%. It also increases the attack of party members by 8%. This effect has a duration of 10 seconds.
Strong Strike
Strong Strike is Aloy’s passive that can be unlocked on Ascension Phase 1. While Aloy is in her Rushing Ice State, she gets a Cryo damage bonus of 3.5%, increasing every second. She can get a maximum of 35% Cryo damage bonus using this passive.
Easy Does It
This passive is automatically unlocked and is Aloy’s utility passive. When Aloy is in your Party, you will not startle animals who produce Fowl, Meat, or Chilled Meat even if you approach them.
Best Build for Aloy
Aloy is a great Sub-DPS or Elemental Support character for your party. Her Cryo bombs can quickly apply the Cryo element on enemies, especially if you have an Anemo character with you.
Sub-DPS Weapons
Polar Star
The Polar Star is a 5-star bow with a CRIT Rate substat. It gives you the effect called Daylight’s Augury. The damage of both your elemental skill and burst increases by 12%. Whenever you hit an enemy with your normal attack, a charged attack, elemental skill, or burst, you gain 1 stack of Ashen Nightstar. If you have 1/2/3/4 stacks of Ashen Nightstar, you get a 10/20/30/40% increased attack.
Sacrificial Bow
The Sacrificial Bow is a 4-star bow that you can get through Wishes. This bow has an Energy Recharge substat and gives you the effect called Composed. When you damage an enemy with your elemental skill, you have a 40% chance for that skill to end its cooldown. You can get this effect every 30 seconds.
Elemental Support Weapons
Stringless
If you would like to focus on the damage of Aloy’s Elemental burst and skill, you can equip her with the Stringless. This bow is a 4-star bow with an Elemental Mastery substat. It gives you the effect called Arrowless Song. It increases your elemental skill and burst damage by 24%.
Favonius Warbow
The Favonius Warbow is another 4-star weapon that you can equip Aloy. This has an Energy Recharge substat and gives the effect called Windfall. Whenever your attack CRIT, you have a 60% chance to create Elemental Particles. These Elemental Particles will recover 6 Energy for the character on the field. You can get this effect every 12 seconds.
Aloy’s Artifact Set
When farming for Aloy’s artifact sets, you have to prioritize ATK%, Cryo Damage, and CRIT Damage for her substats.
4 pcs. of Blizzard Strayer
4 pieces of Blizzard Strayer is one of the best artifact sets for Aloy. This artifact set can increase her overall Cryo damage, allowing Aloy to become a sub-DPS for your team. 2 pieces of Blizzard Strayer will increase your Cryo damage bonus by 15%. If you equip 4 pieces of this artifact set on Aloy, your CRIT Rate increases by 20% whenever you attack an enemy affected by the Cryo element. If you attack an enemy that is currently frozen, you get an additional 20% CRIT Rate, giving you a total of 40% increased CRIT Rate. You can get this artifact set on the Peak of Vindagnyr domain.
2 pcs. of Noblesse Oblige and 2 pcs. of Blizzard Strayer
You can also equip 2 pcs. of Noblesse Oblige and 2 pcs. of Blizzard Strayer on Aloy if you would like to make her both a Sub-DPS and Elemental Support. Equipping 2 pcs. of Blizzard Strayer will give you a 15% Cryo damage bonus and using 2 pieces of Noblesse Oblige will increase your Elemental burst damage by 20%. This artifact combination is great if you want to focus on the damage of Aloy’s elemental burst.
4 pcs. of Noblesse Oblige
If you want to build Aloy as an Elemental Support, you can go for 4 pieces of Noblesse Oblige. 2 pieces of the artifact will increase her Elemental Burst damage by 20%. If you equip 4 pieces of Noblesse Oblige on Aloy, you will increase the attack of your party members by 20% whenever you use an Elemental Burst. This effect has a duration of 12 seconds and you cannot stack this effect with other buffs. You can get this artifact set in the Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern domain.

Team Compositions
Aloy can easily fit in multiple teams with her kit. She works well with teams that can cause Melt or Freeze elemental reactions. Having an Anemo character on your team can help Aloy apply Cryo on enemies using her Bomblets. She can also buff her team while reducing the attacks of her enemies.
Klee Team
Both Klee and Aloy have bomblets and these bombs can quickly apply Melt reactions to enemies, with Klee as your Main DPS. Adding a healer like Bennett can give you Pyro Resonance and increase your attack. You can also choose Diona for extra shield and CRIT. Lastly, an Anemo character like Jean can act as an additional healer and Anemo support. Jean can utilize the bombs and throw them to nearby enemies, causing Melt damage.
Free to Play
If you are looking for a Free to Play option for Aloy, you can use Kaeya to get a Cryo Resonance. Kaeya will act as your battery and Aloy will act as a sub-DPS. This will increase your CRIT Rate against enemies that are frozen or affected by the Cryo element. Barbara can act as your healer and cause the Frozen reaction to enemies. You can also add Xiangling for your team, acting as the main DPS and causing reverse-melt to enemies.
Perma-Freeze Team
You can also use Ayaka as your main DPS and add Aloy to your team as elemental support. Having 2 Cryo characters in your team will increase your CRIT Rate. Adding Xingqiu to your team allows you to permanently freeze enemies. You can also use Kokomi instead, so you can have extra healing for your team. Kokomi will also act as a sub-DPS. Lastly, an Anemo character like Kazuha can help freeze all nearby enemies using his swirl reaction.

Her straightforward kit makes her a great character for beginners. However, Aloy does not have constellations, making her attacks inconsistent at times. She also needs to rely heavily on her bomblets for extra damage.
