Epic Games has gotten us used to it dropping hints for the next season all over the map. Expectations are high for the end of Season 3. what will happen in the event at the end of the season, and when can we assume Season 4 will officially start?
When will Chapter 3 Season 3 of Fortnite end?
Since the game’s release in September of 2017 and the launch of Chapter 1 Season 1 in the following days, Fortnite has followed a consistent pattern of season length. A full season in Fortnite ranges between 10-12 weeks, and during that time, players have access to that season’s Battle Pass, to unlock its rewards by completing challenges. Following that pattern, Season 3 of Fortnite is expected to end on the 17th of September 2022. In approximately 20 days from today, players will be unable to access the Battle Pass for Vibin’ and will no longer be able to unlock or claim any of the rewards, so we suggest you grind out those challenges as hard as you can starting now. You can also see the expected end date of the season on the in-game Battle Pass screen itself, along with a nifty little timer to help you see how long you have left.
What do we expect at the end of Season 3?
Following the trend of every season having a “finale” or end-of-season event, it is no surprise that Season 3 will probably have one too. Sure, this season has been a bit lackluster in terms of map changes and easter eggs for the event, but that doesn’t mean we can ignore the obvious hints being dropped throughout the season. The first major change slowly spreading through the map is the Reality Tree and its dangerous “Reality Roots”. The tree seems to be a product of the Zero Point and has since done things like transform Logjam Lumberyard into the now ever-changing Logjam Lotus. As the season draws to a close, players can expect the Reality Roots to spread faster and faster until the season finale. The second catalyst is very obviously the arrival of Darth Vader. Players can see him roaming around the map in his shuttle while accompanied by Stormtroopers. The Scientist has also revealed that he is here looking for a Star Wars relic and may destroy the map if he doesn’t find it.
When will Chapter 3 Season 4 of Fortnite start?
Going by the end date set for Chapter 3 Season 3, September 17, 2022, we can safely assume that Season 4 of Fortnite Chapter 3 should start on the 18th of September 2022. This comes with the obvious assumption that there are no delays from the developer’s end and that the game follows the already laid out in-game schedule. Fun Fact: This will be the third time in a row that a Fortnite season starts on the weekend. Personally, I think it’s a smart decision, given that even casual players are at home and will be able to tune in.
